SeaLife DC1200 Elite Features

I just received my SeaLife DC1200 Elite digital underwater camera set and was looking over the features and I thought I would share them.

The SeaLife DC1200 camera features:

  1. 12 Megapixel CCD camera
  2. 3″ LCD screen
  3. 5x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom (not bad)
  4. Auto focus to 4″
  5. Rechargeable lithium battery at 700mAh
  6. Continuous video with audio @ 30 fps

The DC1200 housing features:

  1. 5 “Piano Keys” for wide-spread controls for use when wearing gloves
  2. Oversize Shutter Button and Zoom Control
  3. Easy Set-up mode for taking guess work out of setting up the camera
  4. 4 Underwater modes: Sea mode, Ext Flash Auto mode, Ext Flash Manual mode and Snorkel mode (I have no clue what these actually do – yet)
  5. Fast shutter response time of 0.3 sec in External Flash Mode
  6. Depth Tested to 200 ft.

Digital Pro Flash:

  1. Guide Number 20
  2. Power adjustment range of 8% to 100% (In Auto or Manual modes)
  3. Coverage Angle of 60 degrees
  4. Color temperature of 5700 degrees Kelvin
  5. Powered by 4 AA batteries (NiMH recommended)
  6. Auto mode for automatically adjusting flashing brightness for optimal exposure
  7. Variable power adjustment allowing the user to fine-tune brightness
  8. Flexible, rubberized arm for easy aiming and sure grip
  9. Effective underwater distance range of up to 8 ft.
  10. Depth Tested to 200 ft.

Wide Angle Lens:

  1. 24mm wide-angle lens increasing shooting angle about 50%
  2. Easily snaps on and off the DC1200
  3. Fully-multi coated optical glass
  4. Depth Test to 200 ft.
