New Species of Stingray discovered in Amazon

Two new species of Stingray, Heliotrygon rosai and Heliotrygon gomesi, have been discovered in the Amazon leading researchers to believe there could be more large fishes yet to be discovered and described. The new species of Stingray’s resemble a pancake and are now part of four known groups of Stingray’s in South America.
