DAN O2 Rescue Pack

Since I became a rescue diver years ago and I started regularly beach diving I’ve wondered how important or rather how helpful it would be to have an emergency oxygen stored in my car. Not that I’m looking forward to having to use it but you learn that most minor toxicity problems can be solved by administer 100% oxygen.

The DAN O2 Rescue Pack has basically everything a diver would need:

  • Strong Pelican case for storage
  • Brass regulator
  • Oronasal resuscitation mask
  • Non-rebreather mask with 6 foot of tubing
I was reminded when a fellow instructor notified me he is selling his used Rescue Pack for about $250. The price for the brand new unit costs about double that, so I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Any advice?
