I started running Search N Recovery in the beginning of February 2010 after my dive buddy Ryan Redlin started messing around with designs for scuba logos. We had just finished getting our PADI Search and Recovery certification and thought it would be cool if people paid us to find things or bring things up from the bottom of the ocean. That business never happened but the idea for a website called Search N Recovery was born.
We used Microsoft’s OfficeLive Small Business service to create the initial site but it was hard to write about the things we were doing – diving specific sites, using specific gear, etc. When Microsoft announced it was shutting down we moved the service over to blogger and started creating real content. Unfortunately blogger’s limited and I don’t like having to maintain too many sites.
This isn’t saying goodbye, its saying we are moving. Search N Recovery is just going to be merged into ChrisKenst.com. Enjoy.
